At a time when cybercrime is more than ever a major threat to businesses, security is becoming a real concern. In just a few years, the FIC has become a benchmark event in the field of cybercrime. Scalair will be present throughout the event , which takes place on January 23 and 24 at Lille Grand Palais. No fewer than 7,000 visitors are expected for this 10th edition!
Here are the 5 highlights of the event:
1# FIC opening plenary: Cyber-resilience
In a world where men and machines are hyper-connected, this year's forum will focus on the challenges of cyber-resilience.
Here are some of the questions that will be addressed;
- How do you manage the human factor and user risk?
- How can cyber risks be better integrated into business continuity plans?
- So, cyber-resilience: Utopia or operational reality?
This plenary session will be led by key figures in the field, including ANSSI Director General Guillaume Poupard, Markus BRAENDLE: Director of AIRBUS CyberSecurity, and Jean-Noël DE GALZAIN: Founder & CEO of Wallix Group.
It will take place on Tuesdays from 9am to 11:30am in the Salle Vauban.
2# Expand your network by networking with political figures
Like every year, the FIC will welcome a number of VIPs. As usual, no one knows the exact day or time. During your visit, you may have the opportunity to shake hands with one of these personalities:
- Xavier BERTRAND, Chairman of the Hauts-de-France Regional Council
- Gérard COLLOMB, Minister of the Interior
- Florence PARLY, Minister for the Armed Forces
- Mounir MAHJOUBI, Secretary of State for the Digital Economy

We can't stress this enough, but email is one of the main attack vectors for cyber-criminals. So don't forget to come and talk to the experts in email protection at the Hexatrust village: VadeSecure.
4# RGPD at the heart of the matter
The new General Data Protection Regulation comes into force on May 25, 2018. Find out quickly, all companies are affected!
On this occasion, a Legal Speed Dating will be organized with lawyers to answer your questions on the legal issues related to cybersecurity and personal data protection.
Consultations take place from 1pm to 2.30pm at the show on January 23 and 24. They will be conducted by lawyers and will be free of charge. It would be a shame not to take advantage!

5# The well-deserved beer at the end of the FIC day
After a day full of emotions, there's nothing better than to relax over a good beer and chat about this first day. All you have to do is find us on the Scalair stand: Pavillon Hauts de France. We'll be sharing a space with Advens, another well-known player in the world of safety.
For those who join us, there will be other surprises, but we won't reveal them all in this article.
