Toshiba TEC France Imaging Systems is a subsidiary of the Japanese manufacturer of IT hardware, software and services. The subsidiary, which employs around 860 people and generates sales of 195 million euros, supplies printing and document flow management solutions to companies and offers a wide range of services, enabling its customers to dematerialize their business processes and optimize the management of their printing fleets.
In 2018, Toshiba decided to stop operating its own computer rooms, migrate its servers to a datacenter and outsource their management to a service provider. "Managing a fleet of servers is not our core business, so we wanted to delegate this activity to a specialist. We wanted to free ourselves from machine administration, maintenance and data security. The aim is to guarantee the quality of service and availability of the information system for our internal users and customers. In the event of a problem, we need to be able to restore data from backups and get our services back up and running as quickly as possible."
